Another riddle to solve by Robert Langdon (played by one and only Tom Hanks) when he suddenly awakes in a hospital in Florence, Italy with no memories about what happened before. The only thing he knows is, he is a target to kill. With the help of doctor Sienna Brooks (played by Academy Award winner Felicity Jones) and her knowledge of symbols, Langdon and her, team up to save the killing of people on Earth. Inferno is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Dan Brown. Who previously wrote Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol.

Directed by Academy Award-winning director, Ron Howard who previously directed its sequel The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. Inferno, just like its other sequel still focusing on solving a problem by reading symbols. Robert Langdon played for the third time by Tom Hanks while Felicity Jones took the role as Doctor Sienna Brooks and Ben Foster took the part as the film’s main villain.

This film is full of riddle solving and many twists. While at the first minutes of the film is pretty slow but it starts heating up again 15 minutes up with no taking a breath for the audience. Everything looks fine with a little creepy of ‘hell on earth’ description at the beginning. But, the rest of the film is fine. The touch is still quite a bit cliche even with the twists in the end. We expect more. But, well seeing the fan base of the novel and the fan base of this symbolic thriller action films looks like this kind of film will still be everyone’s ‘favorite’ film.

On September 2017, the sequel to Inferno’s novel called Origin would be released and soon the feature film would be in the making seeing the history. For you who are curious about riddle solving could watch this film but please don’t have high expectations on it! (Anna Rose)
