World Humanitrian Award (WHA) and International Film Festival
for Peace, Inspiration and Equality (IFFPIE) and also
International Film Competition Festival (IFCOM) works together
with Ministry of Youth and Sports to facilitate all winning
filmmakers from the three festivals to share their knowledge to
young people. People Creative Council works together with Deputy
Minister of Youth conduct Film Discussion with all the
filmmakers in the Theater Auditorium of the Ministry, Tuesday
(05/22/2015) afternoon.
The filmmakers that attended this event is Hollywood Actor and
Director; Robin Shou (Mortal Combat, Death Race, Street
Fighter), Hollywood Director; Jason Cabell, American-Korean
Director; Christopher Lee, Young filmmakers from Bangkok; Napat
Tangsanga, A woman director from Canada; Elham Madani and also
the director from the IFFPIE Overall Winner 2015; Sameh Salem
shares their experience. At this event, the movie about Tsunami
in Aceh �Earthbound� directed by Robin Shou is also screened.
Damien Dematra as the founder and director of IFFPIE and WHA
says that he hopes the young generations can �steal� the
knowledge of these experience filmmakers to help them become
good filmmakers that spread peace through creativity. He also
hope that with this events the name of Indonesia can be seen
through the eyes of the world.
Deputy Ministry of Youth, Mr. Sriyono also says that this
workshop hopefully will bring creative ideas to the young
generations. "All the rare knowledge about filmmaking that all
these filmmakers from all over the world teach today will be a
big value to the youth leaders attending the event.
