Directed by Oscar nominee Lasse Hallstrom who collaborated with
director Joe Johnston. This film is 100% magical! Tells the story of
Clara (Mackenzie Foy) who only wish is to have the key to unlock a
precious gift from her late mother. Instead her journey to finds the
key led her to an army of mice, nutcracker, kingdoms, and magical
creatures.
Filled with a magical and beautiful visuals, the film nailed to
bring the audience to a whole different world. Mackenzie Foy casted
as Clara and gives a beautiful performance. The film doesnt only
show the journey of finding a key but its about finding her own
true self.
The film starts with the Clara and her siblings open a gift from
their late mother. The feeling of lost and sadness could be felt
from the beginning. Then the film moves to another scene where they
went to the christmas ball with their father-which Clara couldnt
believe how her father could act as if everything is as normal as it
was when her mother is still alive. Then, at the christmas ball her
journey begins when she tries to find the key thru her godfather
played by Morgan Freeman. How Foys character Clara is pictured is
well connected to the audience. The film doesnt only shows her
journey finding the key but its shows how she shaped herself as a
strong young woman who isnt ready to face the world but has the
courage to do so. Which a great role model to all the children out
there. Applause to Disney for this!
Keira Knightley played as The Sugar Plum Fairy, it seems like
Knightley was born to play this role. Jayden Fowora-Knight casted as
the nutcracker and Hellen Mirren as Mother Ginger. The film is
magical, beautiful and inspiring! The film basically dont have any
villain. As the villain has its own reason from the past which shook
the audience. The film is not only fun to watch for your children
but for the whole family and if youd rather watch it alone then
its fine but please dont forget to bring lots of tissues to the
cinema and one thing for sure this film is the most magical film of
the year!
