The film tells the story of Billy Batson a 12-year-old foster kid who is looking for his birth mother. One day, he is chosen by the wizard Shazam to take his place as the protector of the Earth as the nine deadly sins which is inside the body of Dr. Sivana starting to ruin the world. Batson receives a superpower that could turn him into an adult superhero. Batson learns the meaning of love and how to find his trueself. As it takes a pure heart to be a hero.

Shazam is the Captain Marvel of D.C Comics. Well, at least thats what the character name is, and Shazam is the magic word that could turn Captain Marvel into an adult with superpower similar to Superman. The film has been developed since 2000 and directed by David played F. Sandberg which is famous for directing Annabelle: Creation. The film stars Zachary Levi as Shazam and Asher Angel as Billy Batson the kid version of Shazam. (which a big shout out to him as he played the character charming and so loveable.) While the villain, Dr. Sivana played by Mark Strong. Jack Dylan Grazer cast as Freddy and Academy Award Winner; Djimon Hounsou as Shazam (before he gave his superpower to Billy.)

The film opens with the villains past which gives the audience a sense of curiosity and then the story moves to another kids past which provides the audience with a big question mark. Whos the first kid in the beginning.

The film also gives a real twist that no one sees it coming. The film could bring the audience to another level with each scene tells a different meaning, leaving the audience with a question mark.

Shazam gives a new, fresh look to the film that D.C. has never created before. The films formula quite similar to Aquaman but this time the film focuses more on the humor. But still gives the film a deep story that most people can relate and connect to, how the foster family of Billy Batsons character pictured with different ethnicities and personalities is another point to add.

One thing to add, probably because of Sandbergs background with horror films, the animation of the character of the nine deadly sins is somewhat scary even for an adult to handle. However, because of this background, the fighting scenes are not dull, instead, it is intense and fun at the same time with some scenes making the audience shocked.

Shazam! is funny, and it is safe to watch with kids (referring to Deadpool which is Rated). Shazam!, is educating the kids as well. Shazam!, able to make the audience laughing out loud and shed a tear. A perfect combination for a family film! Applause for Shazam! The film is a superhero film that is fun to watch with the whole family and also gives something to bring out of the cinema rather than just the typical superhero film. As Shazam!, indeed shows the meaning of loving your family whether it is by blood or not! Moreover, it shows, sometimes what youre looking for is right beside you!

Point: 85
